A narrow path leads from Stratzing toward Langenlois: the Loiser Weg. Our Grüner Veltliner grows there on a south-facing slope, primarily on soils of loess. We got up quite early in the morning for the Eiswein harvest, because the grapes are picked at -8°C and pressed while still frozen.
With its delicate scent of honey and a hint of apricot marmalade, the wine goes well with desserts, but also with blue cheeses or goose liver. It is juicy & elegant with a well-integrated, silky sweetness (residual sugar 194.1 g/l) and a fine arc of acidity (7.4 g/l).
